Preparing for CSI
Is CSI just like knob year?聽聽
CSI students are part of a specialized summer training program with distinct requirements and expectations, differing significantly from 蜜桃视频’s Corps of Cadets. Unlike “knobs” or “pre-knobs,” CSI students won’t be labeled as such, and the fourth-class system will NOT be implemented during CSI. The program doesn’t replicate the knob year experience; instead, it acts as a transitional phase between high school life and 蜜桃视频’s distinctive environment.
- CSI students do not wear uniforms like cadets, but they are required to follow a specific dress code.
- CSI students do not earn punishments like cadets, but they do follow an accountability system in which they could be sent home after a certain number of violations.
- The fourth-class system will NOT be observed at any time during CSI.
Do the students wear uniforms?聽聽
No. Students wear civilian clothes during CSI consisting of khakis and provided CSI T-shirts.
What should I bring my belongings in?
Your luggage should be reasonably-sized (i.e., not take up the entire room). A bin, suitcase, or a trunk is fine as long as it is about 3鈥 tall/wide at most. Big bags are the best option because they can easily be stowed under the bed.
Where should I stay when dropping off or picking up my student at 蜜桃视频?

Do students leave on the weekend?聽聽
Students have supervised weekend leave, which includes team-building, leadership activities, service projects, and opportunities to explore Charleston. Curfew is enforced on both weekdays and weekends, and weekend time off is granted in small increments (hours) rather than full days.
What is the attendance policy?
Attendance is required at all classes, Cadet Life/Knob Knowledge, meals, study periods, meetings, weekend excursions, and special presentations unless otherwise specified. Students who are tardy or absent for any required event will be subject to disciplinary action.

What is recreation like within the CSI Program?
- CSI students will have open rec time in Deas Hall, Monday through Thursday. Students can swim, lift weights, play racquetball, billiards, table tennis, darts, spikeball, and cornhole. Students can work on cardio and perform individual martial arts drills.
- Pick-up games of pickleball and volleyball will be offered and supervised by the ICRA Staff.
- Field Day for all squads will be on last Friday of CSI.
What is socialization like within the CSI Program?
- We encourage CSI students to socialize and form friendships with their CSI classmates. We encourage students to utilize the Cadet Company Connection Request option for Matriculation. ()
- All students need to remember that the primary goal of attending CSI is to prepare for knob year academically, physically, as well as mentally. Personal relationships among students should promote this goal, rather than impede it.
